The lender and the closing agent will inform the buyer of the amount of money to bring to the closing.

It is time to obtain boxes for moving and schedule trucks and movers. Begin packing!

Buyers should be sure to obtain all the keys and garage door openers at closing.

The deal is done, and it is time to move in! Don’t let the excitement of painting, filling up the kitchen cabinets, and relocating your possessions overshadow a few critical tasks. Some need to be handled right away, including:

• Contact utility companies, transfer and turn on services.
• Contact and set up an account for trash removal services.
• Contact cable and internet service providers (especially for those who work from home).

Also, change addresses on driver’s licenses, voting registration, with banks, and other personal accounts (credit cards, loans, etc.).
